Trinamool MLA and former state minister Madan Mitra's recent statement on social media has sparked controversy amidst the ongoing furor in West Bengal over recruitment corruption.
Mitra stated that if possible in the coming days, Trinamool will give jobs to Congressmen again. He went on to say that during the 34-year rule of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)), many people were left unemployed, and if all workers are given jobs without depriving deserving individuals, it is not unfair.
He also noted that the CPI(M) had given jobs to its people during its reign and that Trinamool workers were not receiving jobs under the current BJP-led government in Delhi.
